ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION.
Below are a few examples (image sections viewed from left to right), of a small selection of my before and after stages of antique furniture restoration. All of the cabinet work, wood carving, turning, marquetry, polishing, gilding, metalwork, ageing and finishing was completed by myself in my own workshop.

METALWORK and FINE DETAIL
A major restoration project.
An antique coromandel inlaid and ormolu mounted cabinet attributed to Manchester cabinet maker James Lamb. Circa 1880.
After suffering from severe fire and smoke damage, I carried out a full in house restoration service which included all cabinet, veneer, inlay, metalwork and refinishing repairs. The images below show some of the damaged pieces and the image above the finished restoration with re-lined velvet interior and glazed doors.
