Donald Ross table design.

One of my bespoke builds this year, was a one off 1.2 metre square antique style coffee table taken from a model by the Scottish cabinetmaker Donald Ross (1830-1916). It was designed and constructed by myself, from the initial hand carving of the pattern parts for the galleries and mounts (before metal casting), to the assembly and finishing of the brassware, the cabinet work, veneers, hand-cut marquetry and inlays, and the final polishing and finishing.

Looking great in this dark blue wall fabric and contrasting woodwork, my 4th stand design and some exhibit restorations for Masterpiece 2018. Just the vetting to go and 10 minutes to get the lighting sorted before the start of another show, which was rewarded once again with both successful exhibition and after sales.

Masterpiece 2018.

After 3 past stand designs and builds, all with successful exhibitor sales, I have just completed my 4th and last stand design and restoration for the Art, Antiques and Design Fair at Masterpiece London.

March is nearly over and I'm now back to working on pieces and planning for the Masterpiece London 2018 art, antiques and design fair.

It's been a busy year, it's nearly Christmas, and a few more restored antique pieces are finished for the last 2017 show at the Palm Beach Art, Antique and Design Showroom in Lake Worth, Florida.

Always happy to add a touch of colour and looking forward to designing and creating some more pieces, especially a collection of wall mounted mirrors using traditional and modern design. Here we have a small selection of in-house made objects and furniture, including some from a fellow bespoke furniture maker, Quentin Meheux from New Milton in Hampshire.

Since finishing Masterpiece 2017, it's now time for exhibit restoration for the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair London.

Lapada 2017

Masterpiece London 2017 is now underway, it's been a busy period of restoration again for the art, antiques and design fair. I not only worked on exhibits for Wick Antiques but also designed, built and set up their exhibitors stand.

Well it's nearly here again! Masterpiece London 2017.                                                                                                      Restoration has already begun and it's now time to start planning the stand layout for Wick Antiques.

With more restorations completed and items packed and shipped to the USA, Wick Antiques is once again exhibiting at this year's Jewelry, Art and Antique Show, in the County Convention Centre, West Palm Beach Florida.

Palm Beach 2017

After the Masterpiece fair, most of September and October were busy with restorations and preparations for Wick Antiques to fill their retail show space within the new Palm Beach Art, Antique and Design Centre, Lake Worth, sunny Florida.

With Masterpiece London 2016 just around the corner, it's been a busy few months of restoration on pieces for the art, antiques and design fair. I also have the opportunity to work on exhibits for Wick Antiques and to assist in the preparation and set up of their exhibitors stand.

For much of the last year or so, restoration has had to take more of a back seat as private commission and design work had taken up most of my time. After many months and much hard work, I had also completed various projects for English Georgian, a mirror, furniture and furnishing supplier based in Chelsea, London. This has been a successful step for me and has given further insight into the world of interior and furniture design and I now look forward to the future design and manufacture of bespoke products.

This period also included my significant involvement in the construction, preparation, finishing, final assembly and quality control of numerous mirrors and pieces of furniture for The Lanesborough Hotel, London.
